Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt
The Catholic Unicersity Eichstaett-Ingolstadt is the only Catholic university in German speaking countries. On November 26th in the year 1564 the Collegium Willibaldinum was founded for housing and education of the clergy of the diocese. On April 1st in 1982 the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt has officially been established and recognized by the Pope. Since June 2018 there is a cooperation aggreement with the Chair of Oriental Philology and Islamic Studies at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg in relation with the research unit Key Concepts in Interreligious Discourses – KCID.
